Long-Lead Equipment Planner Free tool by Qeluntra

Free · private · 2026 lead times

When must you order the transformers?

Enter your target energization date. The planner works back through commissioning, manufacturing, submittals and bidding to the last safe RFQ and purchase order date for every long-lead item on a data center project.

  • Transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, transfer switches, chillers and CDUs, with 2026 lead-time ranges
  • Replace any default with your vendor's quoted lead time
  • Order-by dates, float in weeks, a timeline, and calendar and CSV exports

Plan my project

1. Project

Bid to PO: from sending the RFQ to a signed purchase order. Submittal approval: drawings approved and released to manufacture. Contingency: extra float you want to keep.

2. Equipment and lead times

Defaults are the middle of published 2026 ranges. Replace them with your quotes.

How the order-by date is worked out

Place PO by = energization − install and commission − contingency − manufacturing lead time − submittal approval. Send the RFQ one bid-to-PO period earlier. Float is the number of weeks between today and the RFQ date; negative float means the item is already on the critical path.

What to do when float is negative

  • Reserve factory slots with a capacity reservation or partial deposit before the full specification is final.
  • Standardize ratings to what vendors have in their production plan, and accept alternate vendors that meet the specification.
  • Phase the build so the first data halls energize on the equipment you can get, with the rest following.
  • Pre-approve submittals by agreeing designs with the utility and engineer of record early.
  • Consider temporary or bridge power for commissioning while permanent equipment is in production.

Frequently asked questions

Are these lead times from order or from approved drawings?

Most vendors quote manufacturing lead time from released, approved drawings. That is why the planner adds submittal approval separately. If your quote runs from purchase order, set submittal approval to zero.

Why is my float negative for transformers?

Large transformers now take two to three years or more. For a site energizing within about three years, the transformer order is usually already critical and needs a reservation or an alternate source now.

Can I add my own equipment?

Yes. Use the empty rows at the bottom of the equipment table for items such as busway, PDUs, cooling towers or battery systems, with your quoted lead times.

Is my project data uploaded?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and saved only on this device.
